Take Advantage of the Power of Social Networking

February 24, 2009 · 3 Comments

Social Networking is all the craze these days. In reality it has been around for a while and has taken more of a mainstream stance now when it comes to advertising businesses. These networks have many amenities to offer and they vary from network to network. Some pay members to view ads.  Others encourage members to share photos, videos and music. And others go even further and offer a place for people to meet new people and form business and/or personal relationships. We have created a place for you to join these social networks en masse and increase your social networking power. This allows you to get more viewers for your blog or website or more customers to buy your products.

You cannot afford to miss out on the power of social networking and it\’s impact in the world of e-commerce today. Everything from advertising to the popularity and rank of the sites themselves.

Join these social networks and increase your exposure and personal and business contacts.

Yours in social networking success,

Joseph R. Mays

God is in Control – A New Book by Joseph R. Mays

February 24, 2009 · 1 Comment

After years of setbacks and negative distractions, I have finally done something I wanted to do for a long time; . :-) My first venture into the publishing arena is called ““. In it you will find poems that will uplift you and caress your soul and let you know that those troubles you’re going through will not last forever. The enemy doesn’t want you to succeed, but with God you WILL succeed.

God is in Control

I hope meets your expectations and helps you in some way. Share it with a friend or co-worker. We all need encouragement from time to time and this resource is the perfect solution. I appreciate any and all support you can give. This will help me get past my current situation so I can provide a better life for my daughter Ashleigh. Help me so I can help many others.

Thank you and may God bless each and every one of my readers and followers.

Sincerely,

Joseph R. Mays

America Saves Week 2009 is Here!

February 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

America Saves Week is upon us. In today’s economy, it may be hard for a lot of us to find ways to save money, but we can. There may not be a lot to spend, but you can do things like turn off the lights, turn down the thermostat or stop making repetitive trips in the car (conserve gas). These are just a few of the ways you CAN save money, but by no means all.

Visit the website () and make a plan to save and stick to it so that when the next recession hits you will say “What Recession?” :-)

My previous post contains more information on .

I look forward to a very prosperous year for all of us in 2009.

Yours in prosperity in 2009,

Joseph R. Mays

God’s Voice Mail

February 23, 2009 · 1 Comment

Most of us have now learned to live with voice mail as a necessary part of our lives. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if God decided to install voice mail? Imagine praying and hearing the following:

Thank you for calling Heaven

For English press 1
Para un Espanol mecar el dos
For all other languages press 3

Please select  one of the following options:

Press 1 for request
Press 2 for thanksgiving
Press 3 for complaints
Press 4 for all others

I’m sorry, all of our Angels and Saints are busy helping other sinners right now.
However, your prayer is very important to us and we will answer it in the order it was received.

Please stay on the line.

If you would like to speak to:
God, press 1
Jesus, press 2
To the Holy Spirit, press 3

To find a loved one that has been assigned to Heaven press 4, then enter the social security number followed by the # sign. If you receive a negative response, please hang up and dial 666.

For reservations to heaven, please enter John: followed by the numbers 3:16.

For answers to nagging questions about dinosaurs, life and other planets, please wait until you arrive in heaven for specifics.

Our computer shows that you have already prayed for today, please hang up and call again tomorrow.

The office is now closed for the weekend to observe a religious holiday.

If you are calling after hours and need emergency assistance, please contact your local pastor.

Thank you and have a heavenly day.

Good-bye.

Language is No Barrier for Bloggers

February 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

One of my fellow MyBlogLog members sent me his blog address in a message today. I saw the blog before, and I was already interested because I love trains. A spark made me delve a little deeper into the page. He included an extremely important and useful widget on his page. The Google Translation widget. With it, you can translate the page/post into YOUR language of choice and read the page/post as if he wrote it in your native language. I thought this was a cool feature.

A couple of weeks ago, I saw the Google translate feature after I saw a blog post from Romania. I looked it up on Google and found out how you can view blogs written in a language other than your own. Her blog is called “AndiBob’s Blog“. It has some beautiful art on the front page and is well designed. Make sure you leave both of my friends a comment on their blog.

Thanks. Have a wonderful week and I’ll be back with another special find soon.

Yours in interesting blogs,

Joseph R. Mays

February 17, 2009 – No DTV Transition – It Has Been Delayed until June 12, 2009

February 18, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Today was to be the day that digital television was to make it’s mandatory debut all across the nation. However, President Barack Obama scored another victory by requesting the transition be delayed until June 12, 2009. Millions of people would have been affected by this transition. Many homes are unprepared as they don’t have the money to buy the digital converters to interpret the digital signal into a usable signal for analog television sets. The delay allows people time to get the converters and be ready when the transition takes place on June 12, 2009.

For more resources on the digital TV transition, please visit the links below.

Submitting your blog to blog directories and search engines is one sure fire to attract attention to your blog. Increased traffic and readership are going to be some of the gains you’ll receive by submitting your blog. Some of the top search directories are indexed on the major search engines and some of these sites are search engines themselves. So you can’t go wrong. This means multiple ways for people to find your blog. :-)

Let Us Tickle Your Funny Bone: New Sick Leave Policy

February 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment

New Sick Leave Policy

Sickness: NO EXCUSES! We will no longer accept your doctor’s statement as proof, as we believe, if you are able to go to the doctor, YOU ARE ABLE TO COME TO WORK!

Leave of Absence: (for an operation): We are longer allowing this practice. We wish to discourage any thought you may have about needing an operation. We believe that as long as you are employed here, you will need ALL the parts you have and should not consider having anything removed. We hired you as you are and to have anything removed would be LESS than we bargained for!!

Lost Time: Too much time is being spent in the restroom. In future, we will follow the practice of going to the restroom in alphabetical order. For instance, names beginning with “A” will go from 8 a.m. to 8:05 a.m., “B” will go from 8:05 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. and so on. If you are unable to go at your time, it will be necessary to wait until the time comes again!

Death (other than your own): This is no EXCUSE!! There is nothing you do for them now, we are sure that someone in a lesser position can attend to the arrangements. However if the funeral can be held in the late afternoon, we will be glad to let you off one hour early, provided that your share of work is ahead enough to keep the job going during your absence.

Death (Your Own): Only ONCE will this be accepted as an excuse, but we would like a two week notice as we feel it it YOUR duty to train someone else on your job!!

We hope you were able to laugh as you read this. We’ll find more items like this for you to enjoy in the near future.

Yours in things that are funny,

Joseph R. Mays
