Blog Syndication Website (BlogRush.com) is Shutting Down

November 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Hello Readers.

I have some information to pass on to you. The blog syndication website BlogRush (www.blogrush.com) is shutting down their service. I enjoyed some traffic from them. I was not blogging long enough to take advantage of all of their services, but they did help. That was their whole intent; to help people promote their blogs.

Although I wish they weren’t shutting down, I respect their decision. I am bidding a fond farewell to them and look forward to any new ventures they may pursue. Drop them a line and say hello and thank them for the service.

Yours in website promotion,

Joseph R. Mays

If YOU Don’t VOTE, Don’t Complain

November 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This message is for all voters out there in the United States of America.

If YOU DON’T VOTE, DON’T COMPLAIN!

There are thousands of people that have died to give you the right to vote and protect it as well. This includes the military, voting and civil rights activists and laws enacted as a result of their work. If YOU don’t use it (voting right), YOU don’t deserve to be heard. Voting is YOUR voice. Yes it is only one (1), but ONE (1) vote CAN make a difference. YOU could be that difference. How would you feel if you find out that your candidate lost by ONE (1) vote and you didn’t vote? Don’t let it be you. Support your candidate all the way.

After we vote and the election is over doesn’t mean it is over for us. We can still communicate with our elected officials by phone, mail, fax, email, chat and more. Let them hear from you. Let them know how you feel about issues that affect you and your community.

I am Joseph Mays and I approved this message.

The Votes Are In: Barack Obama 51% McCain 49%

November 2, 2008 · 4 Comments

As the polls close on November 4, 2008, the final tally shall read as shown in the title above. The winner of the 2008 Presidential Election is Barack Obama! America’s first African American President of the United States.

A resounding victory for the world and for democracy the world over. It’s time for a change and it begins with me/you when I/you cast my/your vote on Tuesday. A change for the better, a change for America. I respect the opinions of the other side as it should be. That is the very foundation of true democracy. Let’s go about this in peace and make up YOUR own mind. Choose who YOU want to run the country. Base it upon YOUR beliefs, foundations, morals, values and principles.

Make sure your friends make it to the polls on Election Day. Don’t sit at home complaining about what is wrong with Washington; DO something about it…..VOTE!

I will see you at a Barack Obama victory celebration near you.
