Learn how you can protect yourself against ID theft

July 8, 2008 · 1 Comment

ID Theft is an all too real issue for individuals and families. Your good name can be ruined by someone who has maliciously obtained your ID data. Fortunately, help is here. Consider using a company like (seen on TV ads in US) to help protect your identity. They even have an iron-clad guarantee.

Some tips to help prevent ID theft include securing private data, keeping sensitive documents out of the trash (shred it) and from time to time. Your community should have several places that will shred your old sensitive documents for free or a nominal fee. Cut up/destroy credit cards that you no longer use. Keep passwords secure and lock cabinets, drawers and desks where sensitive documents are kept. Otherwise it will take a while for you to clean up the mess made by the thief.
